Consultancy

Whether you need to innovate delivery, create more intentionality in your approaches and increase sustainability, or refocus your work, finding the headspace for strategic thinking - especially when the stakes are so high - can sometimes feel impossible.

You don’t have to do it alone. I can support you to identify your needs and offer bespoke short or long-term packages to suit you, your team, and your budget.

Read more about key areas of support below:

  • Strategy and impact

I can help you to make the most out of limited resources and remain purpose-aligned, by supporting you to:

    - develop strategic thinking and make difficult but vital decisions

    - bring together people, perspectives and ideas by facilitating workshops and away day sessions

    - identify and articulate organisational purpose, values and priorities

    - develop or refresh your Theory of Change and logic models

    - embed working practices to support strategic objectives

    - develop an impact and learning framework

    - conduct purpose and efficiency reviews.

  • Executive support, staff development and senior capacity

I can provide executive support, helping leaders, their teams and organisations to develop and thrive.

    - Leaders: Through one-to-ones and executive coaching, we will reduce overwhelm, develop leadership skills, protect wellbeing, prioritise to-do lists, work through and solve problems, hash out new ideas, and more!

    - Teams: Personal and professional staff development through one-to-one coaching, mentoring and upskilling, and group training workshops. Improving team dynamics, culture and working practices through bespoke initiatives, considering accessibility needs and preferences and adapting processes as required.

    - Organisations: Senior-level capacity to push through development projects, (re)develop key processes and practices to support implementation of strategies and stay accountable.

  • Wellbeing

I support and encourage action-based wellbeing care, turning attention to what is within our control, and doing what we can to reduce pressure and promote positive wellbeing for ourselves and others.

There are so many unique challenges when it comes to leading a social impact organisation, but there are things we can do both as individuals and in our role as leaders to help address this pressure and keep overwhelm at bay.

I 'support the supporters', promoting a compassionate, intentional and rounded approach to team wellbeing, particularly through periods of change and when delivery is emotionally demanding, and providing a trusted ear to isolated senior leaders.

Wellbeing support is wrapped into everything I offer, and can also be specifically offered through coaching.

  • Change management

We have to adapt to survive. Whether you need to assess your options, redesign services, consider restructuring, or support your team through change, you don’t have to do it alone.

We can work together, always with the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality, to identify and implement the changes needed. This includes supporting people to understand and adapt, and bringing them on board - whether with strategic direction, new initiatives, implementing learning or taking shared ownership.

I can also help you to reshape organisational culture, supporting internal collaboration between teams, encouraging open dialogue and uniting around a shared vision, co-developing practices and processes, and working on internal communications by better understanding our preferences.

  • Communications

This is how you engage people in your work and mission - whether intentionally or not, you are already ‘doing’ it

I can help you to further demystify 'comms' and equip you with simple tools and considerations to nail the basics. This might include:

    - creating strategic purpose-aligned comms strategies

    - developing brand and branding

    - devising core messaging

    - reviewing language and identifying strategic choices, and

    - supporting your team to build skills and implement strategies.

I take a positive-messaging approach, and ensure comms are consistent, purpose-aligned, and driving the mission

  • Programme design and planning

There’s a lot to consider when designing your programmes and projects - balancing funders’ priorities with the needs and preferences of your beneficiaries, being ambitious but realistic in terms of the impact you can achieve given the resource available, following best practice when it comes to budgeting, risk assessments and monitoring…

I can support you to develop efficient, sustainable and purpose-aligned plans, considering the context of need and funding, and learning from team members, partners and community members to create informed and evidence-based activities

We will consider planning, implementation, management and regular review to ensure offers remain relevant. We will also equip staff with the skills and templates they need to manage activities effectively.
